ICBC insurance and cheaper alternatives to save you money

So you you live in BC and just found out that you have been ripped off by an ICBC insurance company and you don't have any choice, but to pay their high premiums?

Let me tell you otherwise. By law, you are only required to carry a cover up to $200, 000 through ICBC, the rest of the cover i.e. comprehensive, courtesy vehicle , road side assistance etc. is optional and can be purchased through any other insurance company, which are much cheaper on their premiums. Of course, ICBC will not tell you that, they will also not tell you, that you can make a change to your ICBC cover  anytime throughout the year. Are you ready to switch? All you have to do is to research another insurance company, who will cover vehicles in my case I found canadiandirect.com very competitive, get their quote and again in my case I am saving 40% compare to my all ICBC cover, set up your insurance and then walk in to an ICBC office and ask them to amend you insurance immediately to required $200 000 by law. They don't argue, the whole process is pretty smooth takes little time and the result you have more money to spend on things in life which you really enjoy!
